ADHD Assessment for Children & Adolescents (10yr to 16yr old)

Dr Allen assesses and manages ADHD in children and adolescents at Paeds Plus, Currambine — on site, within a paediatric clinic, with paediatricians available for support.

How it works

  1. Your GP refers to Paeds Plus in the usual way — not to Dr Allen directly, and not through this website - https://www.paedsplus.com.au/new-referral-landing-page

  2. Paeds Plus triages the referral. Straightforward presentations suitable for GP-led assessment may be offered an appointment with Dr Allen.

  3. You choose. If your child's referral is suitable for this pathway, you'll be asked for your consent before the appointment is made. You are free to wait for a paediatrician instead.

  4. Assessment and ongoing care take place at Paeds Plus, with paediatrician input available at any point if the picture turns out to be more complex than expected.

The advantage is a shorter wait without leaving a paediatric setting. Nothing about the assessment standard changes — it follows the same national guideline.

Under 10, or a complex presentation?

Children under 10 are outside the WA GP prescribing pathway and need paediatrician assessment.

Paeds Plus can assess these children under their usual paediatrician pathway — your GP's referral goes to the same place either way.
